Admissions Process

1. Complete the application form.

2. Mail or deliver the completed form to Christian Leadership Academy with application fee.

3. Once received, you will be called to make an appointment for an academic assessment of the prospective student(s)

You will need the following for the assessment:

  • Last report card from the previous school year
  • Copy of standard achievement test results
  • Copies of student work such as written papers and math
  • Check for application fee

4. Once assessment has been completed, an interview will be scheduled with the school principal and two members of the CLA school board.

Academic Review

Standardized test scores should be at grade level (above the 50th percentile) for student consideration. If a child has successfully completed the previous school year and his school performance compares adequately to the comparable grade at Christian Leadership Academy, an interview may be arranged. However, if there is a great disparity between school programs, or if the child was unable to complete the previous year successfully, or if there are other reasons a child may not seem ready to a particular grade, the child may need to repeat the grade at CLA or may be denied admission.

If no test scores are available, or if grades are inconclusive, the child may be required to take additional testing at the parent’s expense.

In addition, children must reach the age of five years by September 1st of the fall in which they are entering kindergarten.

Notification of Interviews

Once the application, all necessary paperworkreceived,  and assessments determined, parents will be notified of an interview with the principal and members of the school board. Both parents and the applicant are to attend.

Admission Requirements

Christian Leadership Academy exists as an aid to Christian parents in their God-given responsibility of training their children in the way of the Lord. To this end, the school requires that parents be confessing Christians to assure consistent mutual goals between family and school. Parents and students will be required to sign a Parent-Student Agreement that indicates agreement with the doctrinal statement and promises to maintain a Christian lifestyle in the home. In addition, a recommendation form from the family’s pastor is also required.

The parents must support the policies of the school. This is most important in teaching the Biblical principles the school is founded upon, but also in the area of discipline, schoolwork, and parent/teacher support.

Both parties, prior to final admission of the student, should understand the financial arrangements between the school and the parents.

3. Once received, you will be called to make an appointment for an academic assessment of the prospective student(s)
