Elementary School
Fourth Grade Colonial Days
Each year, the fourth grade class has the opportunity to experience their studies in American History in “living color” by spending one day living as a colonial/pioneer American. They dress in era-appropriate clothing, bring lunches prepared in a manner consistent with the period, and go on a field trip to a local one-room schoolhouse in Troy where they spend the day learning their lessons as their fore-fathers and mothers would have done. It is a memorable day that the students all look forward to, and will never forget.
